The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Set in 1958 New York City, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is a one-hour episodic comedy produced by Amazon Studios focusing on the life of housewife turned comedian, Miriam “Midge” Maisel. For the first season of the highly acclaimed series, I worked on costume designer Donna Zakowska’s team as one of the assistant costume designers in charge of dressing hundreds of background actors in period-appropriate clothing. Many different characters who gave color to city life are explored (and had to be dressed!) including, but not limited to: uptown versus downtown residents, garment district workers, courthouse criminals, comedy club patrons, children’s birthday party attendees, Jewish worshippers at synagogue, whip-smart university students, department store employees, subway riders, barbershop customers, and many more.
